TMI Tuesday! Ask me invasive questions about fic or anything! (I take the prerogative not to answer if the result is far too private.)

A special Leap Year fanfiction challenge, created by [tumblr.com profile] autistic-lesamis! Each day has one or two genres to write in. This includes formatting like poems and 5+1, popular AUs like Soulmates and Coffee Shop, and your traditional fluff/angst/feels of course. They can be any length for the most part (drabble or three sentence fic is one of the days), any fandom, the only requirement is that they fit the genre (or one of the genres) of the day.

The list is under the cut, with descriptions of the genre itself.Read more... )

If your fic were an album, what would the track list be?

1. The popular, catchy one:
2. The obscure early one no one bought at the time:
3. The "experimental" one, written when you were possibly on some substance:
4. The slushy one:
5. The brash, loud one, mid album:
6. The one born of your depressive introspection:
7. The bitter one about your ex/former manager/cat:
8. The one only you like, you insular weirdo:
9. The genre-hopping crossover hit:
10. The one where you tried to be "modern":
11. The anthemic final track:

You could do this meme for just the past year, for the whole decade, or both!

Thanks to [personal profile] renfys for providing this meme!

  • Total number of completed stories:
  • Total word count:
  • Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
  • What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?
  • What's your own favourite story of the year? Not necessarily the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
  • Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
From my past year of writing, what was....
  • My best story of this year:
  • My most popular story of this year:
  • Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
  • Most fun story to write:
  • Most difficult story to write:
  • Most Unintentionally Telling Story:
  • Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the new year?

No excuses writing meme
Drop one of these bad boys in a comment and I will respond, without editing:
  • FIRST — the first two sentences of my current project
  • LAST — the most recently written two sentences of my current project
  • NEXT — the next line. meaning i will finish the sentence I’m on and write a new one, which you’ll get.
  • [insert prompt here] — you post a prompt, and i’ll write three sentences based on that prompt, set in the same time/setting as my current project
  • THE END — i’ll make up an ending, or post the ending if i’ve written it
  • BEFORE THE BEGINNING — three sentences (or more) about something that happened before the plot of my current project
  • POV — something that’s already happened, retold from another character’s perspective
